Asst. Prof. Dr. Can Alkan’s project on rapid diagnostic kit for sepsis received support from Afyon Health Sciences University.

Two teams from Bilkent Computer Engineering Department ranked in top 10 in Online Programming Contest 2020 organized by Inzva. 585 students from 25 different universities applied for the competition. The competition was held in two phases: elimination phase and final phase.

Bilkent Team 1 Members: Osman Orhan Uysal (CS), Yusuf Nevzat Şengün (CS) ve Oğuzhan Özçelik (CS).

Bilkent Team  2  Members:  Ziya Mukhtarov (CS), Hasan Yıldırım (CS), Yuzuf Ziya Özgül (CS).

On 30th October 2020, STM organized a 24-hour long capture-the-flag (CTF) competition in which 161 teams from all over Turkey took place. Bilkent University’s hacking society “Exploit Studio” grabbed 2nd place in the competition. The team consisted of Yaman Yağız Taşbağ (CS), Mustafa Kemal Can (BAU-CS), Muhammad Saboor (CS), and Arslan Masood (IU-MATHS). In cybersecurity field, CTF competitions involve participants solving security related problems and exploiting vulnerable systems. These problems belong to different categories such as cryptography, web application hacking, mobile application hacking, forensics, reverse engineering, and malware analysis. The members of Exploit studio meet regularly and share their knowledge about different information security topics.
